Important Notice

1. Any reference to YourEmailAddress should be replaced with the e-mail address that was sent to you.
2. You will find your password in the same document.
3. If you have not received your details, please check your Junk mail folder first and then log a call with funda@cornerstone.ac.za

Procedure

1. When you open Outlook for Mac for the first time, you should see the screen below.
2. If you already have an account setup or you get to the main screen of Outlook, click on ‘Outlook’ in the top left.  Then click ‘Preferences…’
   
3. From the ‘Preferences…’ window select accounts.
   
4. This should bring you to the ‘Accounts’ set up window.
5. From the window select ‘Other Email.’
   
6. Fill in the form with the appropriate details:
   1. E-mail address: YourEmailAddress@cornerstone.ac.za
   2. Password:  The supplied password
   3. Username:  YourEmailAddress@cornerstone.ac.za
   4. Type:  IMAP
   5. Incoming server:  imap.gmail.com : 993
   6. Check the boxes:
      Override default port
      Use SSL to connect (recommended)
   7. Outgoing server:  smtp.gmail.com : 465
   8. Check the boxes:
      Override default port
      Use SSL to connect (recommended)
   9. Click on ‘Add Account.’
      
7. When returned to the main screen, click on ‘More Options…’
   
8. From the dropdown ‘Settings for:  smtp.gmail.com’ select ‘Use Incoming Server Info.’
   
9. Click ‘OK’
10. Close the ‘Accounts’ window.
11. You are done!!
